If plans change

If you’re unable to attend the conference contact us via email. Our cancellation policy is:

  • Full refunds are available to cancellations made before Thursday 27 August 2026
  • No refunds are available to cancellations made on or after Thursday 27 August 2026
  • Registrations can be transferred to someone else at any time before Sunday 27 September 2026
  • Requests for compassionate consideration (i.e. illness or personal emergency) must be made in writing – supporting evidence may be requested and solutions will be made on a case-by-case basis

If we need to cancel, postpone or change the format of the conference you will be notified and informed of next steps.

Your travel arrangements and additional expenses

ATEM and its partners are not responsible for your travel and accommodation arrangements or additional expenses. We encourage you to book flexible and refundable options.

Sustainability

Where available, sustainable options have been selected. You’ll see these decisions carried out in our digital goodie bags and catering decisions – to name a few. Do your part and bring your own reusable beverage containers to use throughout the conference.

Privacy

Our privacy policy is available on our website for you to read. Some conference specific points are:

  • We only ask you for personal information (at registration time) that we need to organise and manage the conference
  • Your details will only be supplied to conference partners with your permission
  • You should only provide us with someone else’s personal information if you have their authority to do so

Capturing content

  • Photographs and video content will be captured throughout the conference and may be promoted through ATEM print media and online channels
  • Try to let the conference photographer know that you don’t want to photographed/video ahead of them doing so
  • Let us know if don’t not wish to published in our promotional material
  • Please be mindful when capturing your own content at the conference – be sure to ask permission of those you are taking photos and videos of

Conference etiquette

The ATEM Conference is designed as a positive and inclusive experience for all.We expect everyone attending to be respectful, considerate and kind.

We ask presenters to be thoughtful about the content, imagery and language they share, as well as the activities they invite attendees to participate in. Let’s ensure these depict our diverse tertiary education sector and are inclusive and accessible for all.

ATEM retains the right to take any appropriate action to ensure that the conference is a welcoming and safe environment. We will not tolerate harassment and poor behaviour at the conference or on online conference channels. Such behaviour will be addressed and may result in dismissal from the conference.
